The Emergency Response, Relief and Welfare Support for Flood-Affected Communities project was implemented by QAFELA to provide timely emergency relief and financial assistance to families affected by the devastating 2022 floods in Tehsil Behrain, District Swat. To ensure an effective humanitarian response, QAFELA established a Coordination & Facilitation Center to organize relief and rehabilitation activities. The project provided PKR 279,000 in emergency cash assistance to 58 vulnerable flood-affected families in Union Council Balakot Cham Gharai and Union Council Bashigram (Chail Dipu). Through coordinated efforts with local communities and stakeholders, the initiative helped families meet their immediate needs, supported early recovery, and strengthened community resilience.
