The Cash Grant Assistance for Flood-Affected Families in Tehsil Behrain, Swat project was implemented by QAFELA to support the recovery of families severely affected by the devastating 2022 floods. The initiative aimed to provide emergency financial assistance to the most vulnerable households whose homes and livelihoods were destroyed, enabling them to meet immediate needs and begin rebuilding their lives.

Under the project, 100 deserving flood-affected households from Cham Gharai, Ingarabad, Jopin, Behrain, and Kiwa Mankyal received a total of PKR 20 million in cash grants. Beneficiaries were selected through a transparent and needs-based process, with priority given to families whose homes had been completely washed away. The cash distribution ceremony was held at Madyan Hotel and was carried out with the financial support of the International Development and Relief Foundation (IDRF) and the British Columbia Muslims Association (BCMA), Canada.
